This space was a big, empty room off my client’s great room that could be used for multiple purposes-playroom, game room, or a media room. They decided to make it a family room separate from the main living room. The first step was to try and make it cozy as possible despite the high ceilings and lack of architectural interest. An electric fireplace with a stone surround was exactly what this room needed. It also gave this room the rustic contemporary feel they wanted.
